抄録: According to my theory, legislation in the Kamakura period concerning compulsory execution only appeared in the 1280s.The epoch-making nature of this event was the application of legal measures named Gechiihaino-toga which intended to punish all violations against judgements issued by the Bakufu. Recently, Takao Nagamata has published a new theory. He claims that, in the Kamakura period, compulsory executions appeared before the 1280s in the Yasutoki-Hōjō regency. This paper re-examines this difference of opinion and concludes that Yasutoki-Hōjō intended to perform compulsory executions before the 1280s but could not carry out his intentions before that date.
