Sakai調査

Abstract

本学では2006 年度から全学を対象とした授業支援システムのサービスを開始した。このシステムを継続的に発展させていくためのレファレンスシステムとして、米国大学に導入が進んでいるオープンソースの授業支援システムであるsakai に関する調査を行った。調査の元となる情報源についてはインターネットあるいは書籍による情報に加え、Sakai 開発者から直接説明を受けた情報も含めた。はじめに先進的なテクノロジおよび開発手法を採用したSakai のレファレンスシステムとしての詳細を示す。そして調査を進めていく段階で判明したSakai の運営組織であるSakai Foundation およびその組織が推進する情報交換の場であるSakai Community の有効性を示す。最後にこれらから導かれる授業支援システムのあるべき姿を示す。

We recognized continuous enhancement of IT-based learning environment introduced on Sep., 2006 and have done the survey about Sakai which was open source collaborative learning environment mainly developed IT-leading universities in USA by both attending Sakai Conference and information on the Internet. Sakai is very informative in terms that Sakai can apply our learning environment to figure out the Sakai featuring the state-of-the-art technologies and development method. In addition to that, Sakai community is also useful to obtain the information about the IT-based pedagogical method from leading universities ahead of Japanese universities.
